Settling in to Camp Life

After lunch the team moved their personal belongs to their rooms and unpack materials for lab work at camp. At camp we sleep, eat, and process the materials we find in the field.

In the evening we had a great meal overlooking the castle. The weather has been very nice, highs in the 80's and low hunidity. We hope this type of weather holds but that is not likely.

Here you can see some of the team members dining outdoors in the shadow of the Crusader Castle. We have great accomendations and food during our stay.

Here is a view of the large dining table placed outdoors on the vernada. In the evenings we often eat out doors (we don't have to worry about rain).

Just in case you are worried we are going hungry overhere. This is a sample plate of grill chicken, rice, and vegetables.

The sun sets over a long but productive day. We have our supplies near the excavation site and we are settled into our rooms. Tomorrow we will get the supplies to the site, give new members an orientation to the site, and begin cleaning up the site so excavation can continue.
